Bringing to life sixteenth-century Rome and a trial that became legend\, this new novel explores one woman’s rage and her determination to stand tall in the face of the violence of men. Liz is the critically acclaimed author of four Tudor historical novels: Firebrand (formerly Queen’s Gambit)\, Sisters of Treason\, Watch the Lady and The Girl in the Glass Tower. ELizabeth’s debut is now a standout feature film FIREBRAND\, with Alicia Vikander starring as Katherine Parr and Jude Law playing Henry VIII and it was nominated at Cannes for a Palme d’Or. \nAnnie Garthwaite is the acclaimed author of two novels that bring the women of the Wars of the Roses to life. Cecily (Viking\, Penguin 2021) was named a ‘top pick’ by The Times and Sunday Times\, a ‘Best Book of 2021’ by independent bookshops and Waterstones\, and has recently been optioned for television. The King’s Mother (Viking\, Penguin 2024) was named ‘Book of the Month’ by The Times immediately upon publication and has just been released in paperback. Annie came to writing after a 30-year international business career\, determined to cast light on a female history so often overlooked. \nLove\, Sex and Frankenstein by Caroline Lea is a reimagining of the summer of 1816 when Mary Shelley stayed at Byron’s villa and wrote Frankenstein. Caroline delves into female rage\, creative madness and the jaw-dropping scandal that bore the world’s most famous work of gothic fiction. Tipped as ‘a highly original and inventive writer’ by the Sunday Times\, Caroline is a star on the rise\, impressing media and peers alike and loved for her previous book Prize Women which was Kenilworth Books top selling Fiction title of 2024!
