Come and meet author Rita John, who will be signing copies of her new fiction books, Sex, Drugs, Bread Rolls & Armed Robberies & It’s All Pricks And Balls This Christmas & Giblet Stew.

Rita John is a Coventry author and has two true stories based on her upbringing and struggles working at a major food retailer and a 1970’s pub chain.

The novels are raw, unflinching, and ultimately hopeful. Part memoir, part fiction; both novels expose the systemic failures that kept women trapped in violent marriages while celebrating the resilience of the human spirit. It’s a story of survival against impossible odds, the unbreakable bonds between mothers and children, and the power of breaking free to reclaim one’s life. A testament to how far we’ve come in protecting abuse victims – and how far we still have to go.
